Question for Fellow Users of Blogger
Is there any way to post via email where you can apply Labels? I love that I can post via email (especially when work's hectic), but I don't like that I have to go back later to add Labels. Any ideas? Labels: blogger

Hollywood....PLEASE
God. No Cowboy Bebop live-action movie. Did you not learn anything from the Aeon Flux debacle? Seriously...any stylized anime like Aeon or Cowboy does NOT translate to live-action. As if that weren't enough, I just read that MTV is going to remake the RHPS. (that's Rocky Horror Picture Show for you virgins out there that have not had the delight of going to a midnight showing of this movie)Seriously - no more remakes, no more anime-to-live-action movies. Enough. Quit it. Don't let someone's first impression of CB or RHPS be these new movies. Labels: cowboy_bebop, general grumbling, movies, rhps

Four Foods on Friday
If you're not playing , click the icon to start! :) #1. When you need to serve desserts, do you buy them or make them?I ask Aunt Kathy, Dad, Mom2, or Jeff to make them. I am only good at pies and tarts. I stink at making cakes. :P #2. When baking do you use butter, margarine or something else? When baking (i.e.- cookies, cakes, pies) I use real butter. In everyday cooking I use Smart Balance. #3. What meats or veggies do you cook in the oven?I like to roast small chickens (3-5 lbs.) with potatoes and carrots and looooots of garlic. :) #4. Share a recipe for anything that is cooked in an oven. Here's the newest recipe over in Sarafina's Kitchen: Comforting Broccoli Casserole From: Taste of Home, October/Novemeber 2006 issue Notes: I used all chopped broccoli instead of using any broccoli cuts. 2 eggs, lightly beaten 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted 1 medium onion, chopped 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded swiss cheese 1/2 cup mayonnaise 2 tablespoons butter, melted 1 package (16 ounces) frozen broccoli cuts, thawed 1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped broccoli, thawed 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients; fold in broccoli. Transfer to a greased 1-1/2 qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Cover and bake at 400 for 30-35 minutes or until heated through. Yield: 8 servings. Editor's Note: Reduced-fat or fat-free mayonnaise is not recommended for this recipe. Labels: 4foodsfriday

Quick Update
I realized last night that it's been a while since a real update, so here goes: Dustin and I are headed to San Diego next Wednesday-Saturday. He's going for a business trip, and I am tagging along. I still need to sit down and figure out what I want to do while he's in meetings. I've been to San Diego once before, so I have a vague idea of what I want to do. I'm mainly looking forward to the 72º weather. :) Thanks to Mr. Foley for yet another good time at your house on Sunday. It was fun meeting some of your other friends and the food was great. We need to get together again soon for the Star Wars marathon! Work's about the same. I've given up on the job hunt for now...there's just too much other stuff to deal with right now. I was really confident about a job here at the agency, but I didn't pass HR screening for it. I don't want to go into it, but the lady who was helping me apply for it kind of threw me under the bus and didn't tell me all of the qualifications I needed on my application. She also didn't try very hard to push my app. through, either. I'm hoping that something even better than that is out there for me, but I just can't handle the stress of looking right now. D's getting ready for another fun-filled school year as a fundraising rep., but this year will be a transition since his company merged with another one earlier this summer. He's had to work more than normal this summer, so I'm hoping he's had enough down-time to be ready to go again. He's been out hunting a few times and spent some time at our neighborhood pool. Starting this week the conventions and meetings start, though, so his summer's pretty much over. We talked about trying to go to Vegas next month, but I'm not sure that we'll be able to. I guess that's about it. The furr babies are both doing well - they had their annual vet visit and everything went smoothly. Minnie's getting a bit older and bit grumpier with each year, and Padmé just clings to me more. They're both still super sweet kitteh babies, though, and they keep us entertained. Hope you guys are all doing well... Labels: updates, work

This is ridiculous...
It's 66° in our office right now. It's the middle of July and I am wearing a sweater and have a blanket wrapped around me. I forecast snow flurries by lunch. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Labels: general grumbling, work

What are the three quirky habits you have?
I found this in draft form - not sure why I never posted it. Originally written 5/3/08.from CorrinEvery morning when I get up (or if I get up in the middle of the night), I turn on the light in the hallway next to the utility room to make sure the cats have dragged out a little "treat" from the litter box. If we have a bag of salad in the house, I will inspect the entire bag from the outside before using any. If there's more than 2 or 3 nasty-looking leaves, I won't eat any of it. Every time I open a bag of shredded cheese, I smell it to make sure it hasn't gone bad. I'll do this even if I've had the same bag out earlier the same day. Man...reading these makes me sounds a little over the edge. :P I'm not...I swear! Labels: meme

Top 5 Reasons for Me to Get Back In Bed
1) The smoke detector started beeping last night about 10:20. It took me over 10 minutes to unhook it. It's possible that I threw it halfway across the living room, making the battery pop out of it's compartment. 2) The Tylenol PM I took at 9:00 didn't kick in until about 5 minutes before #1 happened. 3) I slept through my alarm going off the first time or it never went off. I've never known it to *not* go off. 4) Since I got a late start, I didn't have time to dry and straighten my hair. It's not curling right and looks like poo. 5) As I was pouring my coffee (which was badly needed this morning), some of it spilled on the new shirt I was planning on wearing today. I had to rinse it out (so it wouldn't stain) and change shirts. Labels: general grumbling
