Yesterday was Dad's birthday party at our house. We had 16 people counting Dustin and myself. It was a lot of fun and everyone seemed to enjoy the food and company. It was so good to have everyone together and be able to visit with them. I am so glad D and I have a house that works well for entertaining and can hold everyone. I hope we can have everyone up here more often. I want to thank Mom2 and Aunt Kathy for the fabulous desserts!

So, the plan for today is to lay low, finish dishes and laundry, and help D with brochures. I also need to watch Bionic Woman and Dirty Sexy Money from last week. I may not stick with all of these new shows, but I wanted to at least give them a looksee for the new season. We also watched Journeyman, Cane, and Kitchen Nightmares. Of course, we are still watching How I Met Your Mother, My Name is Earl, The Office, and 30 Rock (which is back this week!).

Ok...sounds like D is home from church, so I'll have to give up the computer for now. Hope everyone has good Sunday and good week next week!

I am enjoying my first pumpkin spice latte of the season.  Too bad it will be at least another month before it *feels* like fall outside. :P

To the asshat in the Lexus that felt the need to "race" me home today (i.e.- pass me about 15 times and zoom past me at the light at Crystal Falls and 183A), you're a complete idiot. The first sign: your "LEETHL" custom plate. The only thing that would make it worse would be if your name were Lee and you were trying to be cute with a play on words. I saw you through your super cool super dark tinted window...you had a wedding band on, buddy. You're not a bachelor anymore, so quit trying to act like a bad ass. Does your wife, partner, or significant other REALLY approve of the license plate?

And does anyone know...aren't license plates required both on the front and back of your car? I've looked online at TxDot's site and at the Transportation Code and can't find anything.

One last note: My Chevy could RUN OVER your stupid little Lexus. You may be able to get from 0-60 a bit faster than me, but that's not what counts, sweetheart. You'd best stay out of this redhead's way next time.

I am wearing my favorite pair of capris today.  They are a dark green linen and I spent quite a bit of money on them.  One of the girls I work with just pointed out that a have a hole starting by one of the back pockets!  They were not like that when I got dressed.  So, not only do I have to buy new pants at lunch today (and wear a sweater tied around my waist for the rest of the morning), but I have to give up these great capris!
