They're heeeere...
The Star Wars stamps are available from USPS May 25th! Of course, I am thrilled, because my boyfriend, Obi-Wan, adornes their main page if you select Rebellion. :) Labels: ewan, stamps, star wars

It must be Monday...
because someone decided it would be a good idea to rip open the SilverScreenArchive envelope that was delivered to me and remove the dvd from it. Dustin said that it could have been an accident, but the way it was ripped makes me have doubts. It was ripped so that the portion of the envelope that actually holds the dvd was opened. The other end was in tact. So...to the person that felt the need to grab Grapes of Wrath from me...thanks oodles and schnoodles. Now I'll probably have to wait at least 4 days for the movie to come again from California. Labels: general grumbling, silverscreenarchive

Tell me if I'm wrong...
but if you are in a parking lot with narrow spaces, and you see someone pull in and it's obvious that they are going to have to back out and straighten up, do you really need to honk at them as if they are unexpectedly backing out as you are trying to pull through? I mean, seriously, folks. I drive a big truck. If my brake lights are still on, odds are that I'm coming back out of the place to straighten up. Get your head out of your butt and be polite! Creeped Out - Continued
Mom was right...people are purposely voting for Sanjaya: http://votefortheworst.comThe letter I am currently sitting on deciding whether or not to send to the site: First, congratulations on being the bigger people and posting the least coherent and grammatically correct letters that have been sent to you. I only saw 2 or 3 letters that were actually readable. It is difficult enough to see talented people get voted off of American Idol before they should be, but for people to be out there purposely voting for the least talented contestant is not excusable. If you do not care about the show, then change the channel and watch something else. Some of us enjoy the program and would like to see the most talented person win. Don't take that opportunity away from the contestants that really deserve it.~MeaganLabels: american idol, general grumbling

follow up: LJ icons
A while back I posted that I was starting to make LJ icons again. I had entered a contest to create an icon for the movie, "Music & Lyrics". I didn't place, but here are the icons I made: Labels: design, icons

creeped out!
Am I the only one completely creeped out by Sanjaya Malakar? Seriously...how on Earth did he make it through last night over Brandon? I realize Brandon forgot his words, but at least he can sing louder than a mouse! Blech. Beside the creepy factor, Sanjaya BUTCHERED "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" Tuesday night. Diana Ross wants her song back, dude. America: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop voting for this guy! Labels: american idol, general grumbling

Vista, how I loathe thee
mood: annoyed listening to: Sunny Sweeney In all fairness to Vista, I am also completely annoyed that Apple can't get iTunes and QT to function properly, either. I just had to revert back to 7.02 of iTunes/QT because the supposed "upgrade" to address issues with Vista caused even more. I was no longer even able to open iTunes without it crashing Vista. *blechs* The only thing that is still an issue is that I can no longer play the videos taken with my Kodak EasyShare. It seems to be a driver issues with the video driver I currently have. I have yet to find a patch or different driver to fix it, though. Labels: general grumbling, vista

Less than 24 hours to go...
To do:-charge iPod-charge camera battery-pick up last minute items at the store first thing in the morning-pick up my jeans from the dry cleaners-go to outlet mall with Mom in hopes of finding some cute new sweaters to wear (and try to resist the Ikea next door :P)-spend quality time with D and kitties nightI really didn't find much in the way of clothing like I wanted to find. It was just one of those days where NOTHING I tried on looked right to me. I found a couple of sweaters that I can layer and they will be fine, but I'll know that I don't like them all that much. :p Luckily, it will be a bit warmer than we thought it would be, but still much cooler than the 70s-80s we've had here. *puts flip flops away for weekend*
